Modern Day Commodities completed this retail store remodel at a Target location in Duluth, GA as the commercial general contractor of record. The project required phased interior construction inside an occupied retail store, with all work coordinated around continuous store operations to maintain customer safety and retail activity throughout.

Scope included interior demolition, metal stud framing, drywall, ceiling work, flooring, interior finishes, retail fixture areas, MEP coordination, doors, frames and hardware, and merchandising area improvements. All work was completed in accordance with OSHA construction standards through final punch list and retail turnover.

How The Work Was Executed

Occupied Environment

All construction was performed inside an active Target store while the location remained open to customers. Work zones were secured with temporary barriers and daily safety checks to protect shoppers and staff throughout every phase of the project.

Phased Construction

Work areas were isolated and phased to allow continuous store operations. Temporary barriers, dust control, and scheduling coordination were used to manage the construction environment throughout.

Full Scope Delivery

MDC self-performed and coordinated the full interior scope from demolition through final turnover, including punch list completion and handoff to the client for reopening of renovated areas.
