Modern Day Commodities completed a full retail store remodel at Sam’s Club in Valdosta, GA as the commercial general contractor of record. The project involved phased interior construction inside an occupied retail store, requiring all work to be coordinated around continuous store operations and customer access.
Scope included interior demolition, metal stud framing, drywall, ceiling modifications, flooring, interior finishes, merchandising area improvements, café improvements, doors, frames and hardware, and MEP coordination. All work was performed in accordance with OSHA construction standards through final punch list and retail turnover.

How The Work Was Executed
Occupied Store Operations
All construction was performed inside an active Sam’s Club retail store while the store remained open to members. Work zones were secured and managed to protect customers and staff throughout every phase without disrupting daily retail operations.
Phased & Coordinated Work
Construction was sequenced in phases to isolate active work zones from the retail sales floor. Temporary barriers, dust control, and daily trade coordination kept the project moving on schedule while maintaining full customer access throughout.
Full Scope Delivery
MDC managed the complete interior scope from demolition through final punch list, coordinating all trades and delivering each renovated area ready for immediate retail operations and merchandise setup.
